CTM Grows, Expands with New Machines, Enhanced Service

FRANKFORT, NY - CTM Corporation purchased two finishing machines that reduce finishing time for products, helping the Company become even more competitive in the marketplace.

The Roto-Finish ER Series Spiratron, a large, circular machine using vibration to finish steel and other metal products, was acquired by CTM with assistance from a grant from the Mohawk Valley Applied Technology Corporation (MVATC). The approximately $13,000 grant is supported by the Environmental Service Unit of Empire State Development.

"We're very pleased to help such a progressive company like CTM Corp. be more competitive," said Paul MacEnroe, president of MVATC.

The Empire Abrasive Blast Cabinet, the second machine purchased by CTM, blasts glass beads and other fine abrasives to finish, deburr and clean rust and other debris from plastic, glass and metal.

"These two machines will help us serve more customers efficiently," said John Piseck, sales engineer for CTM. "The applications of the Bead Blaster and the Finishear extend into the medical, military, telecommunications, and power generation industries."

The machines fill a room approximately 10' x 20' in size. Both machines are already installed and operating.

Expecting to hire employees because of increased orders and the purchase of the machines, CTM is a positive example of manufacturing growth in the Mohawk Valley.

"We're excited to be growing and expanding," Piseck said. "Our large customer base currently includes the Northeast and New England."

From the technology that guided the F-10 fighter to high tech component parts contained within infrared imaging, CTM's capabilities and quality have been called upon daily by leading firms to shape the materials of today and tomorrow. CTM's commitment to quality has kept them a leader in the engineering, design and tooling industry. CTM is located at 151 Industrial Drive in Frankfort, NY.

Members of the media are invited to tour the plant and view the new machines during operation. For more information, please contact John Piseck at (315)894-4377 ext. 27. For photos and more information on the machines, please visit www.ctm-corp.com.
